As a substitute teacher I don't often need to contact students. That being said, I will be doing a long term job in the fall and can see how making groups for each class will make communicating with them much easier. I think I will like using the canned responses to send reminders of due dates also. And of course I will need to keep in touch with the classroom teacher. When she is able I will probably use chat to have her help me with questions I might have.
