gmail

I have found more and more parents and students have gmail accounts.  I know that lining up calendars and sent out notices can only be beneficial when updating parents and students about my classroom.  We have powerschool, but I don't know how often parents check it.  By utilizing gmail more I can be aware of how often parents and students check and receive information sent out by me.  This can help eliminate confusion and keep an open line between myself and parents.  I realize that more and more people have smart devices and they receive automatic updates when they receive something from gmail.  I think it is very convenient for people to access info that I want to share with them.
