My area is preschool so while I wouldn't use Gmail with the children in my class, it would certainly be helpful in using in my communication with parents. I really like the feature that allows you to send the same message to a group of people easily-this would be very helpful with things like snack calendars or newsletters that everyone receives and I think they would be more likely to read them in their email inbox then a piece of paper sent home each week.
