I use google groups for communication with colleagues when we are on various committees and it saves a great deal of time. Also using labels has helped me organize my emails so that they are easily accessible.
We use google docs in our school to organize conference sign-ups, family fun nights, and all other group projects. This is an easy way to organize an event and limit the amount of time that your group needs to meet.
