google in the classroom

Right now I am a substitute teacher in hopes of getting a teaching job next fall. As I have subbed in all grades I have come to truly appreciate the power of google.  In many high school classes the teachers are all able to upload assignments directly to the students gmail accounts. It is very handy for me as the sub and thank you to all the teachers that already do this. They have set up links for video or animated activities in science to complete, had quizzes online, or just an outline of the assignment.  I am not a high school teacher but it would be a great way to send out projects requirements at home...or homework assignments if all students have access to internet.
