I was having issues with a long-time friend of mine, and texted instead of talking to her as writing is usually easier for me to express myself, giving me more time to think about what I want to say; however, she misinterpreted the message and it all got blown way out of proportion and took a lot more talking afterward to clear it up. I am careful about what I post online, but hadn't thought about identifying features of the location of my home in pictures I have posted. I am now much more thoughtful about the repercussions of my digital actions.
