Email is so easy to use to pass on messages about work on a convenient timetable. Unfortunately sometimes we get complacent with our work friends in our emails and forget that we still need to be professional because the email will probably be forwarded on to others coworkers. I watched as a coworker sent out an email regarding a work issue to a work friend using their casual lingo. Unfortunately, that email continued to be forwarded and went up the chain of command. The work friends got taken to task for unprofessional language in the original email that eventually was included in the thread that went out to clients.
