I explored Twitter and found that, among my students at least, very few have elected/chose to select their Twitter page to be closed to anyone that they don't recognize. Most are accessible accounts with posts in their own words and others than might not be ones that they will want as a young adult seeking a job.
Other posts have mentioned that location settings would be good to turn off. Those might be useful to search for nearby businesses while traveling, but generally, off is better, especially for minors.
