Students have the right to feel safe as digital citizens. Because we encourage their use of technology in school, we need to make sure that we do everything we can to educate them on the benefits as well the potential dangers of the information superhighway. Bringing in real examples of those students who have been negatively impacted might be good too as talking about the dangers sometimes only goes so far. Students may need a concrete example of what bad decisions look like.
