student gmail accounts

I have been very careful to always copy in parents when sending an email to students. But I want to look into setting up gmail accounts for those students whose families already use email. We could do more with follow-up readings and optional activities. (I work in our district's home school assistance program.) Some families in our program would appreciate this.
