What was new learning for you?
One new thing I learned was about the meaning of different lines. I didn't realize how horizontal, diagonal, straight, and curved lines could have such different meanings. After looking at the pictures shown with each type of line I understood the definition better.

What was a review?
The shapes were a review for me. I teach 2nd grade and we spend a month talking about shapes.

How can you apply these concepts to a content area you currently teach?
During my unit on shapes I would like to use the word uniform for geometric shape because that is a word 2nd grade students wouldn't normally use. In my classroom we do guided drawings so I think it could be useful to discuss the foreground, middle ground, and background especially since this is discussed in art class and I can continue to show importance.
