I teach Financial Literacy to my 7th and 8th grade classes in Life Skills.  At this age, I have found it is important to start with the basics.  They need to understand, checking, savings, interest, difference between credit cards and debit cards.  I also do a small unit on starting a budget.  It has been amazing the number of students that appreciate their parents more after doing the budget.
