What was new?
I never thought of lines as being a man-made concept.
I also never knew which colors to mix if I wanted to make a brown, but now I do!

What was review?
A lot of the principles of art were a review for me, but now that I teach kinder instead of first I am thinking of them differently.

How can I apply these concepts to a content area I already teach?
In kinder, we learn about 2D and 3D shapes, so that is a natural time to talk about shape in elements of art.
In writing, we like to add movement and mood to our illustrations. Using color and lines will be a great way to add those details to our illustrations.
