2nd-4th grade Halloween assignment
Read Frankenstien based on the story by Mary Shelley, Usborne Young Reading

Students will write a fictional encounter with Dr. Frankenstein’s monster. As a reporter, they will ask either specified questions to the monster or self generated questions. Examples: How do you feel being referred to as a monster?
Do like being thought of as “scary” on Halloween?
What is your real name? etc.

Show a picture of Boris Karloff as Frankenstein to generate an understanding of the character.

Students will write a short report on their findings from interviewing Dr. Frankenstein’s monster and then will create a “monster” from construction paper or other art materials and resources to be displayed with their writing examples.
