I was unable to log into Google + as it was closed.
I have; however, used Hangouts while I was substituting as a one-on-one instructor for a student in a BD room that was unable to visit the normal classroom setting due to behavior. We used Hangouts to view through video the regular classroom. I was able to enter comments online through the chat feature to ask questions or get clarification.
