I believe we should maintain all the rights we currently have In a face-to-face environment such as the right to free speech but I also worry that anonymous threats and lies need to be tagged as such by the social media platforms. I know that Facebook’s public stance is that they will not take on the role of “Arbiter of truth” but I would also like these platforms take on the responsibility to supply sources that users could use to fact anything tagged a lie.

In addition to those rights, I would like to see more protections around user’s personal privacy in the areas of data security and ownership rights, information safety, and facial recognition features on these social media platforms.
