With virtual learning. Gmail would be a great way to have students correspond with the other kids who are in school, as a type of pen pal program. Another way we could use gmail with virtual learning would be to make a list of their independent assignments. They could use the calendar to schedule their small group times.
With virtual teaching; I love the canned responses this would be a much faster way to respond to parents. I also like the translation feature in labs as I have quite a few parents who do not speak English.
