At the beginning of a school year I will add all parents into my gmail contacts list from our school registration system and note their students’ name as well. This will take some time up front especially if I have a lot of students but it will make communication much smoother through the entire year. I will no longer need to search the school database then copy and paste an email address. I will also be able to quickly connect parents to students if they do not share the same last name.
