I use Twitter as a great way to communicate with students and parents.  It seems to be a faster way and more convenient than an email.  A couple of different sites that are really great to follow and easy to retweet for quick, beneficial information is @ACTStudent This is a great resource for our students and again, a fast, quick way to inform them.

I also really enjoy following @LyndseyFennelly She is a mental health advocate, along with someone who shares her story with many.  She provides great tools and resources in which I can also learn from and share with others.  

Overall I appreciate Twitter for the knowledge and resources and again, something quick and easy for the students and families with whom I work with.  Also, an easy way to have your notification settings on, so it will alert people right away.
