I learned of a student of mine who was being bullied via SnapChat. The individual shared with me some of the things being said/done via SnapChat on their phone. It was terrible! The things that were said and shared would have never been shared in person/to their face. This made the individual depressed, upset, and wanting to not be at school. As a teacher, it was so upsetting seeing my student experience these things. You feel helpless. In the future, I hope there can be more discussions with young adults on empathy, compassion, and understanding to how these things impact others.
