As a visual artist, I also get frustrated when people use copyrighted materials. I don't want images of my artwork used without my permission.  People should take the effort to cite a picture, article or image.
Social media has made sharing memes, gifs and images as the new standard way of communication.  It is so easy to cut and paste a picture without thinking of ownership.
