Many kids are getting phones at a younger age enabling them to create social media profiles or communicate through social media platforms. Sadly, the majority of these kids do not know how to properly communicate through the internet because they simply don't understand how their words can hold different meanings when read by others. Communicating through the internet is hard because you can't see the reactions of others when you send a message. You can't react to how they are feeling. Without that interaction, many kids will continue to send messages in the same demeanor not knowing what is happening on the other side.
I do feel users have a right to free speech to freely speak their opinion on a subject matter. Most of the time, if not all of the time, there will always be somebody that will be there just to cause an argument. Everybody has different opinions on most things. Kids are taught in school about opinions and how we all think differently about situations. Yet when we go to social media platforms to express those opinions it automatically turns into a "hate" post or a very long back and forth argument.
I also feel as we should treat the internet as the real world. If there is an opinion stated, would you openly walk up to that person to speak hate to them on their opinion? Or would you just continue on with your day? The real world is different. Most people will not openly cause a debate in public, but most will on social media.
