Every student has a right to protection & confidentiality when using web services, whether it is social media, academic sites, or resources.  Users need to post things in a responsible & appropriate manner, just as you do in face to face situations.  Setting an example for others with your responsible digital behaviors will help pave the way for safe digital use.
