The number one right that each student/adult/citizen has is the right to privacy.  With the continued advancement of digital technology online privacy gets harder to protect every day.  I cannot tell you how many young perspective employees I have interviewed over the years have looked great on paper, but then you do a basic google search on them and it is amazing what you find, good and bad.  Needless to say it has cost more than one applicant to be ruled out of a job due to some very colorful messages or photos.  

The bottom line is be a responsible digital citizen and do as much as you can to protect all your private information.
