In regards to "netiquette," social media is the most common exposure students have. It is hard for us to teach the difference in what is acceptable and what is not without showing them how their perceived norms differ from those found in other forms of media, and should also apply to commonly used sites such as facebook. Additionally, there is so much physical separation while using this form of communication, it is important that we use caution in anything that is made public via the internet.
