Financial Literacy is very important for the population I teach.  Many of these students (at risk) have had little modeling, if any, in terms of how to handle their finances......how to save, where to save, how to set up a bank account, how to keep their information safe, etc.  Part of turning around the life of an at-risk student is helping him/her get started appropriately in the financial world.
