New knowledge -
I also found the idea of lines new. I remember the definition of a line from math many moons ago but didn't realize that it was an artificial construct i.e. "man made" and that lines as such don't exist naturally. I liked learning that a line implies action and the different actions it denotes depending on the shape or direction of the line.
Review -
Color and shape were mostly a review - though I did learn some new terminology about them and that warm cools "come out at you" and cool colors "recede"
How will I use this? -
I'm a teacher librarian and am preparing a unit on cartooning for my 3rd-5th graders. I am very certain that I can use the information - especially about the lines - in teaching them about drawing in their panels. We might even get time to color!
