Forum assignment:
I haven’t personally used twitter. However, as an AD, I have to updated our school twitter with activity results and what not.  I have seen there are a number of different Users and Hashtags that would be a benefit for someone to follow in education such as the US Department of Ed, your Local AEA and the State Education Department site at @IADeptofEd.  Our school twitter is @MonteSchoolsIA and we use #theMonteway regularly or #bleedblue to support our school and community.  As an AD, I follow: @IGHSAU and @IHSAA.  I have checked out the following before as well:
@NatGeo
@Discovery
@TEDTalks
@Scholastic
@IADeptofED
@aealearning
@usedgov

I use Twitter to follow the @IGHSAU and @IAHSAA. I feel they are pretty good at sending tweets to keep coaches, athletes and parents informed.
