As a substitute teacher, I often use youtube as a resource to remind myself of concepts that I will need to teach. This has been especially useful for long-term subbing assignments I have done.  

As a former band director, youtube videos done by professional musicians can help more advanced students who may not be able to take private lessons from a professional.  Videos can also be a useful resource for beginning band students who are currently learning at home and need advice on technique and beginning basics.
