Digital Citizenship Digital Literacy: Share Resources

Cathy Jack
Collaboration: I like the presentation creativity that Prezi offers.  Unlike powerpoint, there is a wide range of unique template possibilities.  Creativitity: Voki is a unique way of instruction.  Making an avatar is neat and the students relate to this because they use it alot with gaming.  Critical Thinking: Mind Maps are good critical thinking tools.  It is a hard activity for some students to do and master, but does allow students to see the connectivity of concept ideas.  Communication: Google Drive is what my district uses. It is easy to use and is student friendly.  For parents and grandparents that are not tech savvy it is easy to access and assist students.

I agree that mind mapping is an excellent way to foster critical thinking. I will use Mindmeister for students to organize thoughts when analyzing characters in books. It could be an applicable resource with virtually all ages and subject areas.
