I have had a Facebook account for years; however, I try to log on only occasionally. I have found that teens and young adults have opted for other types of social media over Facebook. However, I find it is a great way to reach others via private messaging. I do follow several local businesses and municipal organizations. To replace the AWF annual garage sale as a Covid precaution several years ago, I established and run the Animal Welfare Friends Virtual Garage Sale Site which has been extremely successful. Although I am glad to post and manage items for individuals, the garage sale site is an avenue for shelter followers who do not live in the geographic area to support the shelter by posting and managing their own items to benefit the shelter.
