A couple of groups I belong to on Facebook relating to education are:
OG Instructors Book Discussion Group: OG stands for Orton-Gillingham, which is a company that produces a regimented strategy for teaching phonics. It takes intense training and then ongoing learning as well, so this group supports the ongoing learning.
Piecing Together Autism: This group was started by a former colleague of mine whose daughter is autistic. She shares personal stories about her daughter and her family, but she also provides links to resources and information relating to autism that would be of interest to anyone else who has children with autism or who teaches children with autism. (She is also a special education teacher.)
