Facebook

One of my favorites is We Are Teachers. I get lots of helpful information from those posts.
I am in SW Iowa, where flooding is causing tremendous damage. Facebook has basically been our lifeline for the past few days. We are using it to let people know where to go for help, to volunteer, to make donations, etc. The schools are using it as a way to get information out to their families and friends. Businesses are posting about special fundraisers they are doing to help with "flood relief." The list goes on.
We use Facebook in my current job as well. Each county office has a page and some have more than one - with one being specifically for 4-H. We have a Facebook page for our CYC's and another for all YPS's. It is a great way to share information across the state and to get questions answered fairly quickly.
