Groups of grade level teachers are a great way to communicate on a forum that most everyone uses anyway. Often times I know I don't check my email at night, but I will check my facebook.
An already made group that has a lot of great ideas and resources is Scholastic Teachers. That group is always posting usable ideas for a variety of classroom settings.
