I use Facebook often to connect and share info with the parents of the children I watch in my in-home daycare.  I created my own secret group and added the parents and grandparents of the children.  I post pictures, videos and stories about what we do during the day.  
I think it might also be helpful to me to join FB groups such as a group for local homeschoolers in my area, or a Stay-at-Home mom group, playdate group or In-home daycare group for others in my city.
