Force and Motion

Amanda Buck
I selected standard 5-PS2-1 Support an argument that gravitational force exerted by Earth on objects is directed down.
The SEP for this is to support an argument with evidence, data, or a model. This will help students improve understanding and design.
The DCI includes that the gravitational force of Earth acting on an object near Earth’s surface pulls that object toward the planet’s center.
The CCC is cause and effect.  Cause and effect relationships are routinely identified and used to explain change.

When I first tried setting up an old console, it reminded me how much attention goes into understanding the mechanics behind everything, from simple movements to complex interactions. While tinkering with the system, I realized that knowing the Ps2 bios was just as important as learning the hardware, and exploring the Psbios in detail helped me see how the console responds and runs games. Getting familiar with the Ps2 bios made it easier to troubleshoot issues and understand how the underlying system manages forces and actions behind the scenes. Experiencing it hands-on gave a real sense of how motion, input, and output all connect, turning abstract ideas into something tangible. Understanding the Ps2 bios not only improved performance but also made the learning process far more engaging and practical.
