What can exploring art do for enhancing and developing career skills?
I think exploring art does a wonderful job at developing career skills for students and adults by providing an opportunity to explore creativity in personal ways. I also own a dance studio. Music and performance art is my go-to and I tend to use it often during lessons without always realizing it. I believe this helps students think outside of the box, per se. Students have various background knowledge and skills and I think the use of various art technologies evens the playing field.
What types of technologies have you used that shares a link with art? Include at least one link to a technology that could be used in the classroom.
I LOVE to use Canva (www.canva.com) in the classroom. I use if often in my business or my dance studio and love to allow the students the creativity to make content that interests them. There are so many options on canva! I've created Seesaw posts, Meet the Teacher content, Quizzes, Slideshows, etc.
What are your "takeaways" from the article and videos?
I think it is important to remember to expose students to various learning models and allow students to be creative. This will support their socialemotional learning as well as their core learning.
