Gmail

All our students have gmail accounts.  I just filtered their addresses so they pop up important when they email me, and I have all school mail labeled.  The students share docs with me through email all the time.  Having their emails pop up for me helps me respond to them faster and makes sure I don't miss anything they sent me.

I agree with you that Gmail has made communicating with students much easier, faster, and more reliable.  I like using Gmail to communicate with students and parents at the same time.  This sure does make it better than writing multiple notes to send home.  No more losing the note sent home from the teacher.

A problem I had this year was losing track of all the electronic assignments.   I need to get myself more organized.
