Most of the inappropriate use that I've seen is use of copyrighted material/photos by students (Plagiarism - copy and paste!) without any or proper citations. Or use of copyrighted material by teachers - scanning books or entire journal articles on the copy machine. Another big one is use of copyrighted music in school/student slideshows - just because you can doesn't mean you should.
I agree with this. The digital age has allowed for a great deal of access to information that makes it too easy to copy, cheat, or plagiarize. We need to continue to promote individual thinking and respect others' works and property, and truly teach this to our students.
It's crucial to respect copyright laws in educational settings, slice master, as improper use of materials undermines the integrity of both students and educators.
