I teach a number of cooking classes, so I joined the Facebook group "ProStart/Culinary Arts Teachers". I was shocked to find an online binder that has thousands of lessons, recipes, activities, assessments etc. It was life changing for me. I spent a good hour just exploring the page and different chapters related to ProStart 1, which I am currently teaching.
I also joined a group for Family and Consumer Science teachers, called "Share the FACS". This also had a google site with thousands of resources. I found this extremely helpful in getting ideas for my Life Skills courses. We often create our own curriculum and it was amazing to see so many things to not have to reinvent the wheel.
I also enjoy seeing things happening in the restaurant industry so I followed the "Iowa Restaurant Association" page. This is a great resource for PRoStart to stay up to date with info.
