The standard I have selected is:
1 PS4-1 Plan and conduct investigation to provide evidence that vibrating materials can make sound, and that sound can make materials vibrate.
SEP - plan and carry out investigation. this means that students will be helped to come up with questions about a phenomenon then given materials to investigate to find out the causal relationship between sound and vibrations. They will collect enough data in order to see a pattern.
DCI - Wave Properties - Evidence that vibrating materials can make sound and sound can make materials vibrate.
CCC- Cause and effect. Students will be able to recognize the causal relationship between sound and vibration and scaffolded to apply such knowledge to things they observed in their environment.
