Scientist-Classroom

Teacher 3

Since scientists have a much more extensive wealth of  knowledge and understanding, they are able to work in a much more purposeful and efficient manner. The way in which they explain the phenomena is also much more precise and clear.

Students on the other hand have limited background knowledge which results in a much more surface level explanation. They use common words and phrases opposed to scientific ones and explain phenomena in a way that connect to their lives.

To help students develop a more scientific mindset, teachers should model and explain scientific language along with metacognition that can help create a deeper understanding of complex science concepts.
