I have used facebook for probably 10+ years, not sure entirely. I follow dozens of groups on facebook including community sales (garage sales or selling used items from their home), travel pages, and food enthusiast pages. Some of my favorite groups are foster parenting communities/resources since I foster children and find these pages to be an extreme resource and support in times of need as well as helping out other foster parents in my area. As far as education goes m (I teach in a severe and profound classroom), some of my favorite groups are PODD & Angelman syndrom for professionsls, PODD trained discussion group, and PODD with alternative access, and ablenet equals math community. These pages give me opportunities to see other professionals using the same curriculum and resources I use, gives me more ideas on how to implement them, and ask questions and share ideas.
