My goal was genreally to include students in the development and implementation of their own learning so that they take more responsibility and own the goals. I also want to explore less traditional ways of providing services that meets student needs and maximizes my limited time with them and lets them use the skills that we work on in the gen ed classroom.
I am looking at outcomes to include: 1. Increase my overall knowledge of Personal Learning Pathways so that I can share the information with colleagues.
2. Explore personal learning plans and examples to identify key elements
3. To learn more about a flexible environment and begin to identify enviromental variables and their impact.
For resources I have been looking through the Beginning Level of Learning Profiles, Learner Pathways, and Enviroments. I was very interested in the chart of differentiated/personalized/individualized. This organized the information in a way that was easy for me to compare and contrast. I also appreciated the article on personalized learning plans (Next Gen Tools: Personalized Learning Plans and Learner Profiles. (n.d.). Retrieved January 12, 2017, from

These resources are providing me with the starting framework to build a frame that I can then fill in with my own specific details.
Modality wise, I prefer reading the articles to the videos, and I like having the graphs, charts, and examples.
As I consider artifacts, I would like to generate a template for a personalized learning plan. I looked at the example from Caliber in the resource and I liked the idea of a template, though the one in the example didn't meet my needs. I want to identify key elements to personalization and include those on the template and then use it for at least one student who has an IEP this spring.
