Personal Learning Pathway

Now that you have a clear goal or goals, it is time to create your learning path. The image of a pathway is important. It is a guide to learning, keeping learning focused on reaching the end goal. Your plan should include 3 Parts:
  • Outcome
  • Resources
  • Artifact

Outcome: Begin by reviewing the goals that you have created and then refine the goals into 1-3 specific outcomes. Some examples may include
  • I will increase my awareness of personalized learning so that I can explain the basic elements to someone unfamiliar with the term, and provide examples of how it might look like in a hypothetical classroom.
  • I will examine our school's Edgenuity platform, familiarize myself with how it works, and develop a more personalized learning environment for students.
  • I will explore examples of district PL pathways and develop or revise a draft for our own

Resources:We have created a menu of learning options related to the four areas of personalized learning that we are examining during the 28 Days of OLLIE (Learner Profiles, Learner Path, Competency Based Progression, and Flexible Learning Environments). Select items from the menu to build your “path” or feel free to tap into your own resources. Be sure to consider these things when making your selections:
  • Content-Do the learning opportunities you selected align with your goals?
  • Strengths and weaknesses-Do the learning opportunities you selected build on your strengths? Does it address your needs?
  • Modalities-Have you selected items that match your learning preferences?

Artifact: At the end of your personalized learning experience we want you to create an artifact to illustrates/demonstrates what you have learned. Brainstorm what/how you want to share your learnings with other participants.

Select "New Topic", make the subject your first and last name, and write your post.
