I felt not very good about this particular assessment. As I teach 5th and 6th grade science, and am currently in my first year with the 6th grade curriculum, I have had very little experience with genetics and heredity to the level at which these questions were asked. Having to recall my background knowledge and my last real experience with this which was 10+ years ago I can see why I did score how I did. I think that if my students were giving this assessment, they would have struggled not only with the level of difficulty in the questions, but not having a way to remove answer that were incorrect based of detailed visuals. The charts where good to look at but without a background knowledge it is still a difficult task to undertake.
