Variation

I had to laugh at this assessment. I have dark brown hair and eyes- married to a blond blue-eyed man. According to genetics, I should have dominant traits. However, we have two boys both with blond hair and blue eyes! Genes and heredity have always fascinated me and I am excited to learn more. We also correlate a lot of this to animals on the farm and passing down desirable traits to offspring to strengthen the herd. I do have a difficult time with my terms and keeping them all straight, genes, heredity, mutations, and chromosomes so I would like to look into more ways to enhance vocabulary for this topic.

I also missed both questions that included a picture. For some reason, the picture was not visible on the assessment.

Students loved doing the Punnett Squares the most.  They made Punnet Squares about them with eye and hair color.  They just loved it.  The students wanted to keep going and going.
