scientist vs classroom

In the video I watched with the scientist, she was trying to compare and measure liquid volumes. The scientist thinks about avoiding errors in measuring the liquid. She wants to have a standard measurement so that she can have a good comparison. She talks about the material, density, and weight as she works through the problem.
In the classroom videos, the students are trying to explain what they’ve observed or what they think will happen using everyday words instead of scientific language. While they may not be using scientific language, they are trying to work together with their peers to come to an understanding regarding their observation.
