28 Days of OLLIE: Small Groups
In an effort to better support our personalized learning, we will select a group to belong to. The choice is completely yours; the options will be gathered based on the goals (topic 1) and other discussions that have taken place.
Small Group 1: General Awareness and Understanding: Looking to understand more about the general principles of personalized learning rather than hands-on application.
Small Group 2: Elementary Teacher Focus: Looking for examples of techniques of how to implement within the elementary classroom (focus on the classroom teacher).
Small Group 3: Secondary Teacher Focus: Looking for examples of techniques of how to implement within the secondary classroom (focus on the classroom teacher).
Small Group 4: At-risk Student Focus: At-Risk Students. Focus on advocacy and support for students who are at-risk.
Small Group 5: Guidance & Advocacy Focus: For those who are working with student plans, pathways, and preparing students for the future. Looking at how personalized learning can prepare for college and career readiness. This group is not necessarily focused on the classroom teacher.
Small Group 6: Leadership Focus: This group focuses on how to support the classroom teacher, connect with the community, and promote personalized learning in general within a school setting. This group aims for building leaders and instructional coaches.
Small Group 7: Technology Focus: This group is focused on making working more in-depth with technology and its functionality to support personalized learning.
When you have selected your group, there will be some sharing/discussion activities among group members. Even though you have a similar interest or goal, that doesn't mean you need to be doing the same things as your group members. The sharing/discussion just serves as a place to bring your learning into context with each other person's.
*You can choose more than one if you would like, though you are not obligated to participate in more than one.
