I also really enjoy Class Dojo - it has worked well for me to link "dojo points" to real-life rewards - if a student manages to accumulate a certain number of points, they can trade those points in for free reading time, or a missed assignment erased from their record, or 15 minutes of computer time, etc. I have also used "class incentives" where a certain number of points will translate into extra recess time, or we even did a pizza party once, and students who had earned X number of points were invited to attend! That was the best behavior I had ever seen, when students were trying to earn enough points to have the pizza party (and thanks to Little Caesar's $5 large pizzas, it only ended up costing me $25-30. Well worth it.
